Pickbandz Collar with Pendant Black

The Collar comes with a pick and a leather cord. I ordered this end of november 2018 and wore it from the first day I got it.

I am a person that tends to forget where I put things - so the first days learning guitar with my pick, I put it somewhere - and couldn't find it again for the next days. Since I wear the collar, this has never happened obviously.

I haven't taken it off since. The leatherband gets a good scrub when I shower and I take the picks out (as you can put in a pick on both sides) and wash the inside. Nothing smells - and the rubber that holds the picks in place is still like the first day, so it's really durable.

I can only recommend it, as I now have my personal pick with me everywhere I go - and if there happens to be a guitar around, I can use my own pick. Nothing against other people's pick-choice, but it feels best when you can play with the one you're used to (at least for me it does).

I attached this to my strap (by actually cutting most of the cord and then attaching it to the part of the strap that binds the leather part with the synthetic part) to always have an easy access to 2 picks while gigging if I ever lose one. It can hold my 2 picks, but unfortunately, it's quite difficult to get a medium-to-big-sized pick in and out of it. So you won't be able to swing the pick into your hand quickly while playing (or get it back in easily either). But I still like the look of having a pick attached to my strap, and it helps me know which side of the strap is up (I always get that confused and it gets tangled awkwardly lol).

For the purpose that I intended, it's definitely easier to just systematically leave a pick on top of your amp when you start your gig. :)

I was looking for a way that I could wear my favourite pick around my neck for convenience when out and about, and this was easily the perfect option for me.

Firstly, packaging was minimal and recyclable paper, which was great. Pesky little plastic bags can be annoying sometimes. Secondly, I think this is advertised very poorly - in a good way. This necklace actually holds two picks - one in the front and one in the back. I didn't actually know this until I opened it myself.

On top of that, it is very light-weight to the point where I don't even notice it when I'm wearing it. It is extremely adjustable and has a huge range of lengths, and the material is great. I did find the tied bit of the string a bit jagged, but it's just mildly irritating, nothing to put me off wearing it.

A classic Dunlop Tortex fits perfectly in here. I'd say a pick thicker than 1.5mm would be challenging to get in, and a pick such as Jazz III might be a bit too small. Additionally, the Ibanez SandGrip fits, too, there's just a little bit of empty space at the top. The pendant itself is a very dark colour, so it's impossible to notice.
