Crisp n dry
I put this on a Yamaha Maple Steve Gadd model as they were closest to the wires that were on it at first.. Dry,warm,sensitive and crisp. Did the job perfectly.Can't fault them.Great for drums with narrow snare beds

Dry and dark
I like the feel of a rather dry snare.
So I wanted to test this one, and I found it too dry for my preference.
For a symphonic snare drum it will be perfect.
For a pop/rock snare I miss some of the bright sensitivity that I prefer for dynamic playing, and easy ghost notes.

Great, but for for a orchestral snare
it has a very direct sound, very little sustain, if you want to catch every note with literally not buzz this is for you, its was just a little to dry for me
