Great option for a snare drum if you want a very dry, warm, and controlled sound.. also works well on a floor tom.

I love these on toms. They are exactly the sound you want, punchy, warm, super versatile. They also require the least treatment, because they control overtones without muffling the sound at all. Any further treatment is just flavor.
