serious engineering for a serious microphone

Originally i was a bit shocked at the cost of the Royer shockmount. howeverm considering the quality of the microphone and the understanding of limiting low resonant frequencies...it seems to make sense.
Be assured, this is a seriously well engineered piece of equipment and holds the mic safely in place.
I recorded a choir before the SS1 arrived in the post and i did notice the amount of low interference from the basic shure mic clip i had used and secured with tape.
Thomann anyway had the powest price generally available so overall it's a big recommendation for the product and for thomann

It’s a Royer

If you have a Royer microphone, you should have one of these. Some would say it’s expensive but, if you want the best, you have to pay for it. And, if you have a Royer microphone then, you should have one of these. No question.

Well built, but not compatible with Royer R-10

At time of purchase, the web site said compatible with "all Royer mics except SF-24". I found it also isn't compatible with my R-10 mics so had to send it back.
Apart from that, it seems very robust and well built, but it's rather expensive.
