A no-brainer for Floyd users!
Bockwurst 18.08.2017
If you like to swap different string gauges or are searching which brand/type/gauge set you like the most, you will definitely LOVE the sure claw made by Schaller! Why? because there is nothing worse than to screw both screws a quarter of an eighth millimeter to the left to adjust the spring tension of a floating Floyd Rose system while leveling the bridge with the body. In comes this nifty item, with the turn of one allen wrench (hex key) you can adjust it very precise to get the desired tension on all springs at once ànd keep the sustain block level. Some back covers (the ones with open slots) will even let you adjust it without unscrewing the backplate! The claw also adds a little more sustain. The only downside is that there is no spot to properly solder/screw the ground wire, but this can be done by bending the wire around the screw when you install the claw (if your wire is long enough).
Pro : Much more easy to adjust spring tension, adds little more sustain, rock solid installation.
Con : too bad there isn't a proper way to fasten the ground wire

Excellent solution to the constant tweaking of tremolo spring claws
HalfManHalfGear 08.02.2020
This is a very well made and designed solution to make adjustments to the spring claw in guitars with a trem system. Just one screw, adjustable with a hex key / allen key, adjusts the tension of the springs without fuss and if a small access hole is drilled in your guitar's trem backplate, can also be performed in seconds without the prior removal of screws and foresaid panel! Just be careful that when you fit it, the mounting screws don't poke through into the guitars pickups / pickup cavities.

More German ingenuity!
Anonymous 10.07.2016
Leo Fender got the spring claw right, when he designed the synchronised vibrato.

Schaller have made it much easier to install and adjust. So much so, that tremolo springs can be adjusted up and down using an allen key through a small hole in the the back plate, without removing it.

This is very clever.

Be aware though that the mounting screws will come through a middle pickup cavity in a Strat style guitar. Be aware of this before ordering.

Over all, a fantastic product.

Bit pricey but worth it

If you got tired with the "quarter turn left screw, quarter turn right screw" style of spring tension settings with that wobbly metal plate, this is the solution for you.
I hesitated a lot to buy it, as it is not cheap, but in the end, I'm very very pleased with it. I've installed into an Ibanez RG with 2 Goldo backboxes, all my issues with the tremolo has gone.
Quality is top-notch, a massive piece of metal, probably justifies the price.
A small issue is that the ground wire doesn't really have a place to connect, but I wrapped around one of the screws under its head before screwing it in, seems to do the job.

Quality and easy to use
Mark8122 28.12.2015
I've fitted 2 of these to my strats and i have to say they are very good quality, easy to fit and use.
The only problem is the mounting screws are long and can go through into the pick up cavity and if you're concerned about them sticking through too far they can be cut shorter or you can add a washer and nuts to each (as I did) to make them more secure.
When setting up the trem it's so easy to adjust in very small amounts to get the tremolo sitting just right, I also think it adds to the tone and sustain of the guitar.
Schaller produce excellent stuff for your guitar needs and this is another great item. Recommended !!

Much better
Zakk_Wylde 07.09.2019
Much better than the old primitive tremolo claw. You can change the spring tension evenly and in an instant with an allen wrench (included). The package included a pin to drill the back cover (to insert an allen key) so you don't have to remove it to set the spring tension. I was impressed that it increased my guitar's sustain.

NOTE : The mounting screws are very long. They may cut through the wood. Measure and get shorter ones (or cut the existing ones)

Awesome part
Matias M. 20.01.2016
Genius! It takes floating tremolo guitars set up to a new level.

Since is so easy to adjust the tension now you can take your time and perfectly balance the tensions between the strings and the springs to perfection.

Very easy to install, just go with the screws alone, you don't need to drill at all.

This claw only accepts three springs so you better get high tension ones. (Göldo extra hard)

There is space between springs for a tremolo stabilizer (IE: Göldo backbox), just be sure the end of the backbox is not gonna collide with the claw "screws"

Just what I needed!
Andy808 21.02.2016
Schaller are by far the very best accessories for guitars and basses! When I needed to repair a problematic tremolo on my Stratocaster, I found this very well designed and manufactured replacement. It's so easy to fit and as the name suggests, the springs sit tight in the claws, 100%!
Look no further, this is the part you need if you are repairing or upgrading your tremolo system! Cannot recommend it enough!

Briliant!

Installed this in my guitar, and drilled a hole in the backing plate just above the adjustment screw, and setting strings tension after string/setup changes is a breeze now!

This amazing machine was create in Germany in the 80's i think but not many people know how we can improve the guitars with this toy , much easier to graduate the Floyd springs without opening the guitar and much more tone and sustain.
This is my humble experience.
