Best guitar I had so far

Sound
Sound is heavy, sustain almost infinite. I compared this guitar in a studio with Gibson RD - sound was comparable 'demonic', although a little bit different - still if you look for a guitar for devil's music and 7 string - take it! Also, compared it to Ibanez Universe - for me, it feels better (I have small hands) and sounds better - more bright, and the signal from the pickups is strong as from active pickups. One minor thing - I have fingertips visible on the top, so the guy who painted my particular guitar was a little bit clumsy, but it does not influence the playability nor sound, so it's fine. Also, I had to adjust the nut - it had sharp edges and hurt my left hand once. This is a reason I put 4/5 stars on the 'finish' part. Oh! Pickups are covered with wood. How cool is that?:D

Great first 7-string
Rhae 05.06.2021
I bought the Reaper 7 as my first 7-string guitar after reviewing a lot of different ones. This guitar popped out straight away because of its appearance, which isn't only gorgeous but also slightly unconventional with the natural wood shining through at the armrest.

For me, the guitar didn't come set up that great; the action wasn't to my taste and I had some inconsistencies with intonation, as well as annoying string rattle. A set-up by a local tech resolved all of those things, and since then I love it. The neck is SUPER smooth and feels great. This is also my first fanned fret guitar, which I must say, took me no time to get used to. It isn't an extreme fan which definitely helps. They say that - when using lower tunings - having the fan reduces rattle on the lower strings while maintaining the ability to bend easily on the top strings. I have it tuned to Drop G (9.5-64 Strandberg strings), and yeah, I must say there's some truth to that. It doesn't fly 100%, but definitely a noticeable difference to when I tuned one of my 6-strings to Drop G (:-P).

I mainly play through plugins (such as the Neural DSP ones) and through those, the guitar sounds great. No need really to switch out pickups or anything, at least for me. They're pretty high-output for passive pickups, which is nice if you're into the heavier stuff.

All in all, a great guitar for a good price!
