Sennheiser HD-25

Zum Kopfhörer selbst brauche ich wohl nichts mehr zu sagen. Er ist nicht umsonst einer der meistverkauften (und benutzten) DJ-Kopfhörer und schon sehr lange auf dem Markt.

Auch ich wollte mir das Modell zulegen, dabei aber nicht auf das längere Spiralkabel und die angenehmeren Velour-Ohrpolster verzichten.
Sennheiser bietet genau dafür das Paket Sennheiser HD-25 Plus an. Dieses beinhaltet zusätzlich zum hier angebotenen Sennheiser HD-25 (mit Kunstleder Polster und 1,5m Kabel) noch das Spiralkabel, die Velour-Polster und eine Transporttasche. Die mitgelieferte Transporttasche ist jedoch schlecht verarbeitet und kaum zu gebrauchen, das spiegeln zumindest mehrere Kundenrezensionen wider.
Andererseits gibt es den Inhalt des Plus-Modells auch als Einzelteile zu kaufen. Hier lohnt es sich vor der Bestellung nachzurechnen. Momentan kostet das Plus-Modell 199 Euro (Stand: 03.2019).

Eine kurze Suche bei Thomann ergibt (wieder Stand 03.2019):
- Sennheiser HD-25: 127 Euro
- Sennheiser HD-25 Spiralkabel: 49 Euro
- Sennheiser Ohrpolster für HD-25 Velour: 19,90 Euro

Dies ergibt in Summe 195,90 Euro und ist somit leicht günstiger als das Plus-Modell. Im Gegensatz zur schlecht verarbeiteten Tasche beim Plus-Modell gibt es beim Einzelkauf der Komponenten noch einen zweiten Klinkenadapter dazu - und davon hat man bekanntlich nie zu viele. (Ein Adapter wird beim Kopfhörer mitgeliefert und einer beim Spiralkabel. Beim Plus-Modell wird, laut Produktabbildung von Thomann, nur ein Adapter für beide Kabel mitgeliefert.)
Als Tasche für den Kopfhörer empfehle ich das the t.bone Headphone Case. Der HD-25 passt auch mit dem Spiralkabel hinein und ist sehr gut geschützt.
Vor dem Kauf lohnt es sich also immer die einzelnen Preise zu vergleichen und dann passend zu kaufen.

originally got these strictly for Dj'ing. Been using them for almost a year for that. Never listened to music on them really. They are great DJ headphones.

After getting the urge to upgrade my headphones from my long time mdr7506's (over 15 years) to something more...…...punchy......I actually listened to some music on the hd25s with a critical ear and was surprised at the frequency response. I do like the bump on the mid lows especially since if you are listening to material with an extended bottom end these headphones will come to life. Great for doing referencing. Surprisingly after going out to listen to a few other closed headphones in the $100 to $250 range...…...
Beyers: too dang bright but so pretty n comfortable
ATH: muddy low end, might as well stick with my 7506s -
ATK: the more expensive models must be where the magic is happening
SHURE: again, 7506 might as well stay in bed
KRK: and one more time the 7506 say why are you giving me up for that?
I found myself in a bit of a confused state. In order to really improve the sound I'm getting with the 7506 and better the HD25 I would have to get into the $499 range which Im not really wanting to do at this time since I need to replace 2 pairs of 7506's.

I liked the sound of the HD25's better than the other phones. Nothing beats actually hearing what's out there because reviews for headphones...….yikes. I mean look at this one. THe HD 25s are revealing in their own way. Like the 7506's highs are not punishing if the source material was recorded well BUT if your source is drenched in skull splitting highs it will reveal that. Same with the low end. That's important. If the bottom is rolled off on like in in say country music and 70's pop, you hear just that, no exaggeration in the low end. Put on a modern rap track and they come with the Boom. Its not techno festival level boom of course, but its the kind of boom that is clearly defined and as long as you A / B with other source material (as with any headphones) you know well …..you can't go wrong really. HD 25s do what the 7506's did for me all these years but with more GUSTO. Much more defined.

But the HUGE negative which knocks off a star......and this is only for folks who want to use these as tracking or monitoring headphones...... is that the are not comfortable for extended use.

Or if you wear glasses (or ear-rings). I don't think they designed these strictly for DJ work but it seems that's what they were designed for. I looked at the other Sennheiser close back offerings and there was nothing that has THIS SOUND in a more comfy headphone. If only Sennheiser made this headphone with this sound with a larger cup with some foam they would be on to something I think. These are great sounding headphones. Don't let the size fool you. They are of course magical DJ headphones for obvious reasons but they do work as studio headphones if you can deal with the slight discomfort. I'm going to use these as 2nd option headphones in the studio, what a welcome "you already own them" surprise. Well that's enough hot air for now. Hope this is useful info.

Me compré los cascos para pinchar, que ahora solo tenia unos buenos semi abiertos que usaba para el estudio y que no aislaba del ruido ambiente. No son mis primeros cascos dj, he tenido o probado varios anteriormente.
Bueno los Sennheiser HD-25 son muy usados en el mundo musical del djing, eso ya lo sabia.
A parte del sonido que sale fiel y preciso, destaca realmente la calidad del aislamiento y lo increíblemente ligeros que son. Los puedes llevar horas sin molestia. Basta ya la incomodidad debido a la presión sobre las orejas que puedes encontrar con otros modelos, o el dolor de cervicales el día siguiente de una sesión larga debido al peso.
También tiene la ventaja de poder cambiarle las partes independientemente, por lo cual te vas a tirar años con él.
Pues qué más decir?... Tiene su precio eso si, pero si buscas unos cascos para pinchar y que entra en tu presupuesto, no lo dudes...

J'utilise ce casque pour du mixage/montage musical et de l'écoute récréative en complément d'un DT 880, et pour de la prise de son extérieur. Je suis globalement très satisfait.

Avantages :
+ Son de très bonne qualité, et particulièrement une très bonne réponse aux transitoires et ce même dans les basses fréquences (grande précision)
+ Toutes les pièces sont vendues séparément et détachables
+ Très bonne tenue sur la tête (du moins la mienne) avec le double bandeau
+ Plutôt bonne isolation extérieure même si je pense qu'il doit exister des casques encore plus fermés que celui-ci.
+ Extrêmement léger.
+ Connectique Neutrik de première qualité.
+ Grand rapport qualité prix

Inconvénients :
- Pendant deux semaines, un des contacts grésillait quand le casque diffusait de forts niveaux, c'était limite inécoutable, j'ai hésité à le renvoyer, puis ce défaut s'est spontanément résolu et depuis je n'ai plus eu ce problème...
- Les coussins posés sur les oreilles (et non circum-aural comme sur le le DT de Beyerdynamics) compressent un peu le pavillon, si bien qu'il est difficile de garder le casque plus de 2-3h sans avoir envie de l'enlever. Mais le casque reste quand même confortable avant 2h d'utilisation.

Ostin nämä luurit itselle joka päiväiseen musan kuunteluun ja äänityksiin.

Alkuun sanoisin vähän taajuusvasteesta ja stereokuvasta. Luurit eivät ole kirurgisen tarkat yläpäästä ja napakat basso-alueilta kuten esim. Beyerdynamicin DT-880 Pro kuulokkeet joita käytän miksaukseen. Bassotaajuudet ovat HD 25:ssa jymäkät ja keskialueet selkeät. Yläpää on suht selkeä, mutta jonkun asteinen kuoppa yläkeskitaajuuksissa ja ylimmissä taajuuksissa on selkeä verrattuna Bayereihin. Itseä tämä ei ole haitannut, koska käytän luureja juurikin musan kuunteluun ja äänittäessä esim. rumpuja arvostan enemmän hyvää sulkevuutta äänenlaadun yli.

Stereokuva on hyvä ja avoin. Bassot ja keskialueet on selkeänä stereokuvassa, mutta kirkkaat kaiut jne "yläpään kama" on välillä vaikea paikallistaa tarkasti. Edelleen, ei-kirurgiset luurit vaan enemmänkin tarkoitettu musan nauttimiseen hyvällä sulkevuudella.

Luurit itsessään ovat kestäneet hyvin päivittäisessä menossa, vaikka alussa hirvitti kuulokkeiden hentous ja keveys. Pään yli menevä headband on mahdollista levittää ja tällöin luurit saa todella tukevasti päähän. Myös itse kuulokkeiden korvien päälle tulevat "kupit" on mahdollista kääntää sivuun, mistä on hyötyä äänityksissä tai vaikka DJ-hommissa. Ainut miinus minkä keksin omalla kohdalla on se, että korvakupit ovat suht pienet eli välillä kestää aikaa asetella luurit korville hyvään asentoon.

Yhteenvetona sanoisinkin, että tähän hintaan HD 25:set ovat loistavat kuulokkeet! Kestävät (melkein kaikki osat on vaihdettavissa!), normaaliin musan kuunteluun todella hyvälaatuiset ja äänittäessä todella sulkevat. En epäile hetkeäkään, ettenkö tulisi käyttämään näitä vielä vuosia ja vuosia eteenpäin.
