sounds somewhat dull and muddy

I mounted this one as a neck pickup for my Fender Precision Bass. I did so mainly to wider the sound possibilities of my bass.
(-) However, it's not very practical sounding. It is quite muddy. You won't get much attack off it nor will it provide any low end (that you don't yet have anyway).
(+) It sort of works all right with the bridge and colours the sound a bit nicer. On its own it's not worth the price.
