Flexible and easy to work with
When manufacturing my own cables and leads or fixing broken ones I rely exclusively on Sommer Cable and Neutrik jacks for their reliabililty and ease of use.
The Stage 22 Highflex is a medium-to-high-quality balanced cable with braided shield. Additionally, it contains two threads of cotton or some synthetic fibre. Thus, with the rather soft but thick rubber coating, this cord is extremely, outstandingly flexible.
It doesn't coil up or get kinks. I think it's ideally suited for rack applications or being used as a patch cable if you fancy a sturdier cord. Apart from that, it's a good choice when mic'ing up in tight spots, such as tom toms next to cymbals or inside kick drums, where less flexible cords can get in the way.
I imagine it might break more easily than a standard cable of good quality, but as of now there are no issues with the microphone cables I've made half a year ago.
