Versatile bass
Bass arrived professionally set up although I eventually did some minor tweaking of my own. Even out of the box it was a dream to play.
The LX5 has an insane modern tone and the Tonepump preamp can be dialled in to obtain a fat sound or a bright slap happy tone. The brass bridge and nut are amazing, the instrument is beautifully resonant. It is awesome for rock and metal but it is also my go to bass for jazz, pop & funk.
It is comfortable to play and feels light and well balanced. No neck dive or anything. The tuners are sweet.
The super glossy finish is not really my favourite and the fretboard smells funny. But those are the only two things I can criticize.
