It's a Bit of a Fiddle.
We bought a number of these: Startone Music Stands, which come in a choice of 3 colours, Red; Blue & Black. It's a bit of a fiddle when it comes to erecting, & folding it up. Just as you think you've got the hang of it, frustratingly it turns into a Chinese Puzzle again. You normally find that you get what you pay for & although it is quite well made for the money, it lets itself down in its practicality of use. It is light in weight & does fold down into a handy, portable size. It would be usefull if it came with a cover to pop it into when not in use, or on the move, but for the money you couldn't expect one. All-in-All, if you are able to leave it erected most of the time, then it's a good buy, but if you have to erect it & fold it down regularly & can afford to, then pay pay a bit more for a more user friendly, music stand.

Fine music stand, but...
What can one say about a music stand? It's fine for what it is, sturdily made, and nice red colour, but it has one major design fault: there's nothing to prevent the papers from sliding off! I've had clamps and washing pegs on the thing, but it's all cumbersome. In the end I took two pliers to it to increase the 90 degree angle of the bottom that holds the papers up, and it's now bent out of shape and looks bad, but at least I'm no longer forever picking papers up from the ground.

Nicely made
Not too sturdy like the heavy-duty ones. Nevertheless, its well made, holds pretty well and its light !!!! Has a great price too !

The stand does what it is suposed to do and the red color looks very nice. It is very adjustable, and can be used both sitting and standing. I would not use it for a ipad or very expensive books, but for a couple of sheets of music you can't find a better stand that is this cheap. .

practical
It is a compact music stand with a fantastic color. It is stable and very practical. Nonetheless, it does not give the impression that if it were to be moved on a frequent basis, it would remain in such a good shape. Should it remain in the same place without being folded very frequently, I believe it is a very nice music stand that does not take too much space and can accommodate music books and sheets rather easily.

Flimsy but functional
Very cheaply built music stand. It won't hold much weight, like a big music book might be too much.
It's difficult to adjust and complicated to unfold.
It will work fine if you can be careful with it but i don't think I'll buy it again.

Perfect practice bit of kit
Using for practice the bar stool is too low to read off with old age creeping up on me. Cheap price, not cheap looking or construction. Looks like its made from Mechano but who doesn't like Lego? The old one suffered an accident when used at a gig was hacksawed to monitor level because the bass player did not know what to do so this replacement is now going into my music room at home.

Use it at home only
I have assembled it once and haven't tried to unfold it again. The quality is okay, not the best. It is worth it for the price you pay.
