Superlux Velour Ear Pads - They Also Fit The Superlux HD-668B Headphones!
soulrebelno1 15.08.2015
I have the Superlux HD-668Bs headphones, not the HD-681s, and I took a calculated risk that these pads would fit. I can confirm that they fit perfectly! The HD-668Bs use the same size cans with a slightly differently design if you look.

From what I can tell and from the feel, I think they have used memory foam to make the ear pads, but I'm not 100% sure. Whatever type of foam they have used it's very good quality and quite firm. It's not the cheap, soft, weak type of foam with no strength; it holds its shape against the clamping force of the headphones and is very supportive. The velour is good quality as well.

My headphones are now a lot more comfortable to wear and I can have them on for hours without discomfort. They don't sweat-up like the supplied leatherette ones because the pads can breathe and wicks any moisture away.

I just wish these pads would have come as standard on my Superlux HD-668B Headphones in the first place; they are miles better.

Well worth the money and highly recommended.

Not for long use
dimotja 24.05.2020
They are indeed smaller than actually needed, more like 95cm but stretchable in right places and of good quality. Unfortunately after 30-45 min watching movie they starting to sting and itch and i even don't have sensitive skin. Maybe they need a good wash. So i ended up use them for KPOP on HD672 because they exact size and give quite different from "rubbery" sound.

Bought two packs and them on my Superlux HMC-681 Evo and Superlux HD 662B. Almost too small for those but it works fine.

The material is nice and they are quite soft. The only negative thing is that the inside is covered in rubbery material, so they wont breathe as much I would have hoped, it gets sweaty inside of the closed HD 662B's after a few hours.

Good fit but not velour
Cuddly 21.01.2021
Used on HD668B, lovely fit & a price to match the cost of the headphones. More comfort than stock leatherette but they are sponge not velour so are a little hard & might not last (but bought 2 pairs!). Well filled so sound not affected (have two 668Bs so have compared).

MH
Must have addition to the HD-668 B
Matti H 30.07.2020
I've had a pair of Superlux HD-668 B headphones for almost a decade now (still going strong), but regrettably it took me many years to discover the wonder of these ear pads. My biggest gripe with the aforementioned headphones was always the comfort. The faux leather pads that they come with are less than stellar. These ear pads however, even if intended for the HD-681, fit perfectly on the 668-B and they are really quite good for your comfort. For this price it's hard to point out anything bad to say. I also tried some AKG velour pads for the AKG K-240/270/271 on these headphones which are much more expensive. The difference is negligible. The AKG pads are a little firmer towards the inner cup, so to speak, but I didn't find them any more comfortable than this Superlux variety. Excellent!

5 min to put on and enjoy once you did
p17s82 24.03.2021
Due to the Superlux way of putting the ear pads on, it's a bit difficult to put them, but considering you only have to do it once, it's definitely not an issue.
After spending 5 mins carefully stretching them onto the headphones, I immediately noticed they are much more comfortable compared to original firm leatherette ones.
With the stock ear pads my ears would start hurting after 3-4 hours, but with these Velour ones this doesn't happen for up to 5-6 hours (I didn't try to keep the headphones on longer than that).
So overall, I would definitely recommend this as an upgrade if you have any issues using the headphones for long periods.

Comfort and durability.
Magus 30.01.2019
Used in standby mode.

It is very comforting to have such accessories available through headphone brands because it allows them to be replaced without the need to purchase new headphones.

The material in velvet, allows more comfort and durability, instead of those that come from the factory in synthetic leather that after a time begins to degrade even without use.

Good buy, good price, quick and simple replacement.

Good product!
Baby Thomas 30.06.2020
They isolate better than the stock pads (yeah, I know it's an open headphone, but still). They keep the ears warmer which is fine at winter, but in the summer... not so much. Also... the material itself... it's itching a little.

M
Basic velour pads
Mikhelson 20.03.2015
I bought these for my Superlux HMC-631 headset cause someone said they would fit them as well. I can corfirm that they are almost a perfect fit for the HMC-631. Changing the pads was pretty easy and doesn't require much effort at all.

These might be little bit more comfy to wear for long times than the original fake leather ear pads of HMC-631, but not by much. Maybe the filling could be just a bit softer but its not bad by any means. I think velour feels nicer to skin than the fake leather so I think I prefer these pads over the original. (Small minus is that hairs seem to stick to velour unlike the leather)

Overall quiality is good. Nothing to complain about that.

Take the AKG instead
deckobreaks 23.08.2019
I bought them to replace the stock pads from the Superlux HD-668 B, which is pretty good in itself but not that comfortable.
The pads are pretty OK.
The material is not top quality, not as flexible as the AKG.
The AKG model is much more comfortable, as they are more flexible, they put less pressure over your ears.
I would spend more and get the AKG instead if I have to choose again.
