Tama HP50 Classic Pedal

It wont find much love in Metal/Harder Genres, but the Tama pedal is great for the gigging drummer that does not kick too hard.

It is very light and collapsible, and can be adjusted in many ways.

Feels good to play, smooth action and no give/rattling.

I have a very old 18" bass drum whose spurs aren't long enough to install a bass drum riser on the batter head hoop. With this bass drum pedal, on its lowest setting, the beater hits bang in the middle of the drum head. The way it collapses is very clever, so when in transit, the spring isn't working and the whole thing becomes very flat overall. I play both heel up and down. I have to say it's very smooth and sensitive using either technique. Tama never disappoints.

Despite being a cheap pedal I can say that in three years he has always honestly done his job in precision and quality, Satisfied with this purchase too I recommend it

I bought this as part of my mission to assemble a hardware set that is as light as possible. It's a very comfy pedal with good response.

This Tama pedal works perfectly - especially if you use it for gigging! It's light, it's sturdy, it feels great while playing. Also accomodates any bass drum size - from 16" to 24", due to the switchable height column. Overall, if you need a single pedal for gigs, this is a perfect one!
