3 out of 6 cables turned out to be faulty AFTER REGULAR USE

Unfortunately, after several uses (around 10-15 rental gigs for each of the cables), 3 out of 6 cables failed a cable test. My Behringer CT100 cable tester shows that the faulty cables have intermittent connection when you touch the XLR connectors in the tester gently. I never tested the cables when they arrived, so I presume this was due to normal wear. All the three of my faulty cables have no signs of external wear (no cuts or so). I discovered that one of the cables was faulty when a DI-box failed to run when powered by a mixing console phantom power supplied through one of these cables, so I did a quick test and found out the result above.

I've been using these as patch cables for an XLR patchbay for approx 3 years; very reliable despite heavy use. Good audio quality.

One cable had an intermittent connection after heavy use (maybe my fault). Rest are solid and I have around 50.

Also great studio utility cables. The colours help in ID'ing signal paths. Recommended.

They are patch cables. The colored cables were very handy while trying to distinguish the different cables.

Good for gig set up

Very reasonable pricing in these xlr cables and the colours helped with recent gig set ups . No issues whats so ever and recommend buying especially if your on a budget and have a number of PA items to purchase to get you up and running

Bad patching

I bought these to patch between speakers but after many problems at gigs, finally narrowed the problem down to these cables. The plugs just don't mate well.
