Perfect for Fitness-Instructors
Jan2888 02.06.2014
I bought this microphone for my work as a professional fitness instructor in a mid-size gym and there is absolutely nothing I can complain about.
The microphone fits perfectly to my head, and with some small adjustments, also to all my colleagues' heads. Four of us are actually using this mic on an everyday base for about a year now, and we all agree that this one is a very good replacement for the original AKG, we had before. Not to mention our boss, who is happy about the price. ;-)
We had a headset mic in the style of the t.bone 500 also, but we returned it, because of its bad fit.
Coming to audio quality, I don't feel myself able to judge this mic, because audio quality isn't what I'm looking for. In fact, a megaphone would also be ok, if it wouldn't be so unhandy. ;-)
Finally, I am very happy with my microphone and definitely recommend it to everybody, who is in a similar job or position as me.

Decent all rounder.
Anonymous 11.03.2016
Bought this as a mic for the drummer. Makes you look like Britney Spears but works fine. He doesn't sing much apart from a bit of backing vocal and getting the audience involved (Hep!!) so it works fine for this. Wouldn't recommend it as a main vocal mic.

Pros: light weight and easy to set up. Good price point.

Cons: Not very comfortable to wear, lots of POP off the mic if the wind shield is removed (you look like Britney Spears if it's left on so..). Muddy sounding vocals from it, needs a lot of EQ.

Overall: Good for backing vocal or with a bit of EQ I could see it being used for presentations by lecturers or teachers. Good price.

T-bone HC 444 TWS

Very good for any use really. Used it for recording, gigging and messing around at home.
Like the way you can use a mic, without really having to stick your face into it. It's just there all the time.
Dislikes.... none that come to mind. I'd recommend it.

Good but noisy...
ClareBassIreland 07.11.2024
A good headset, but lots of noise from the over-ear plastics, could do with foam piping...sound quality is actually quite good for this price point, works well with my AKG mini pro wireless... finally, a longer gooseneck flexy would be a bonus... otherwise, hard to fault ..

Great price/quality ratio
Anonymous 22.09.2016
I'm a Fitness Instructor and use it for my classes.
The headset is lightweighted, with good stability (doesn't come off, even when jumping), with good, clear sound, even in Cycling classes, with the music roaring.
The only negative aspect is the energy consumption (2 AA batterys last about 3 weeks). I recomend rechargeable batterys.
For the price/quality ratio, it's a sure winner!

TH
Great budget headset mic
The Hen 14.12.2024
After nearly getting my 2 front teeth knocked out by a drunken punter 3 times in the 1 night, I decided to go for a headset mic to avoid any future mishaps.

The T.bone HC 444 TWS delivers. It fits comfortably even while wearing glasses. It has a great tone from it aswell.

I am pleasantly surprised. Well done Thomann!

Quite Sore
weezul 16.10.2025
This mic I bought as a backup for another face mic, but after actually using it for 45 minutes, the side with the mic on is quite sore on the side of my head. Coupled with wearing IEMs, it's quite annoying. Sound-wise it sounds okay, as expected for the price for sure!

Amazing Performance
Anonymous 30.04.2016
I bought the t.bone HC 444 TWS for semi-public music performances (about 100 people anticipated). We used it recently at a gathering of about 70 people and it outperformed!

Pros: I like the crisp quality of sound that it produces. I have used a few other different neckband and clip-on mics but this outdid them.

Cons: A potential con is to look out for very sharp sound and not overdo the treble EQs. The t.bone HC 444 TWS already has a crisp edge to it.

I would surely recommend it to everyone looking for top quality at an affordable price.

Great for a Small Lapdog
Lucifer's Paradox 20.10.2025
If you wanna Britney-mic your dog this is the perfect microphone. Otherwise it's really not made for American bigboys with gargantuan skulls. Also the strap is a joke. You'll be removing it.
None less, the microphone gets hot after approx 30 seconds of power, after which it both sounds and looks like truly professional stuff.
