Excellent mouthpiece-Great sound-Absence of cap is a problem
Dngun 13.11.2023
The mouthpiece offers exactly what you expect from it to offer. It can give you the jazzy sound (close to the classic “meyer” sound) but also rock/funky sound , projection and rich sound for all the saxophone range. I would describe it as hybrid mouthpiece, kind of unique.
It offers very easy blowing (I have tested it with legere American cut 2,25, signature 2,00, Bari* S and MS , vandoren red 2,5), the ligature position can offer you more focused sound or spread the sound.
The altissimo might be a liiitle more difficult than the metal ones , but it’s still really easy (with full sound).
Rich colourful sound without too much “annoying edge”
Generally the mouthpiece gives you great potential, in my opinion it’s worth the money.
Negatives can be that when you try to adjust the mouthpiece on the neck, the ligature doesn’t hold the reed in its place (so it’s practically impossible to readjust the mouthpiece with the reed on it, you just have to adjust the mouthpiece first and attach the reed next).
The bigger problem is the absence of the cap, the mouthpiece doesn’t come with a cap, it has a protective thing when you store the mouthpiece but not a cap. So you have to find a cap that fits n your own(not the easiest thing).
