My favourite on a Tele
Anonymous 17.02.2015
These are truly excellent strings. I'd been searching and trying out so many brands of strings to use on my telecaster and these are by far and away the best. Wonderful tone out of the pack and have a long life. The strings are really 'supple' under the fingers - great for bends and vibrato. Being pure nickel they are slightly darker than other strings but this is great for taming brighter guitars. I highly recommend these strings for those that use Strat/Tele style guitars. They are more expensive than most, but well worth the money considering the tone, playability and string life.

Everything the reviews said they would be

THESE are just incredible, and I say that as a guitarist of 39 years who has never quite found the electric strings, for a Gibson Les Paul, that I knew must be out there somewhere. Absolutely fantastic feel on the fingers, bend them to Mars and back and they return 100 per cent still in tune. They look great, they are simple to restring, they just ooze quality and longevity. I will never use other electric strings again, seriously! By the way, for those who say they are expensive: 1. Thomann do them much cheaper than the UK stores, and 2. They will last and shine and sustain far longer than cheaper ones. Brilliant!

Excellent quality, unique sound.

These are top quality strings. They last very long and have a truly unique sound. Very strong fundamental with somewhat subtle overtones compared to any other roundwounds I've tried. Great for a tight, focused, powerful tone. Not so great if you want sparkly, bright jingle-jangle overtones.

You may love or hate the sound but the materials, construction and objective quality of these strings is top class!

perfect fit

Uncomfortable with my regular D'A EXL115, I installed these strings on my 1996 Blade Delta Thinline just out of curiosity, after reading the TI description and users reviews on Thomann.
Great sound, great feel, great durability, perfect fit for 650 mm scale, period.

Old school strings

Thomastik is a very good string maker that has produced some outstanding strings in the past. These strings are going to be something special but maybe not for you. They sound a bit darker than many other strings and the sustain is somehow limited by their construction. They sound as if there are a bit dull and the low end is kind of muted. They have plenty of personality but I think they sound better in bright, lively sounding guitars. Also, they are not cheap so make sure these are teh strings you need before ordering a few sets.

Doesn't get better than this

Blues sliders are exceptional strings. For the purpose of blues and rock on my Les Paul with P90 I couldn't find anything better. Long lasting with great feel under fingers and warm, thick sound.
