Dreamy Supersynth
First of all, the Super 8 is a beautiful instrument to look at, but when you start playing it, chances are you will get lost in its sound for hours. It is a sound that maybe is not for everyone, it can sound very dreamy and warm and does that a lot of the time, but you certainly can make it roar and also use for nice bass sounds. Built quality is top notch, knobs and sliders feel very good. The keyboard is a joy to play and has poly aftertouch which allows for very expressive playing. Is it the perfect synth? No, but it's very close in my opinion. Only downside for me is the fact that the two dds oscillators share one dds modulator which limits its use. But by doing some clever programming there are workarounds. For context: I am a trance/ deep house guy and for that type of music this instrument is just pure joy!
