Der kleine Bruder vom Vater Fusion
Spiele seit vielen Jahren den Vater Fusion. Für leisere Musik war der mir aber oft etwas zu schwer. Hatte einige leichter Alternativer getestet und im Vater 8A gefunden was ich gesucht hatte. Vergleichbarer Sound wie Vater Fusion, dafür leichter und leiser. Eigentlich sollte der "Vater 8A" "Vater Fusion lite" heißen!

Great feel and quality
I love the Vater 8a. This model’s diameter, length, taper, and tip make controlling the stick incredibly easy for me. But this is a personal feeling, and can be different from person to person.
What is not subjective is the quality of the Vater sticks. Those are perfectly matched, straight and the fact that Vater uses woods with higher moisture content makes them more durable. They also have the right amount of lacquer, and they just feel amazing in my hands. I also love the fact that they make the same model in Sugar Maple which is perfect for when I need to play softer.
I really recommend exploring the Vater immense catalogue.

Schwer, Robust und Dünn
Die Sticks sind von der Form quasi identisch mit den Vic Firth VF SD4 und den Pro Mark SD4W Bill Bruford, aber ein gutes Stück schwerer. Für die größe sind die Sticks definitiv eher auf der schweren Seite.
Wer durchsetzungsfähige, aber noch recht dünne Sticks sucht, ist mit den 8A gut beraten.
