Just what I have been looking for. The non slip base, doesn't slip but is also well cushioned so the sound doesn't resonate through the table/stool I am resting it on. It has an ideal weight, not too heavy that it isn't portable and not so light it bounces around when in use. The rubber top is so close to a real drum it makes for ideal practise.
