This is a great fuzz, fun to play, creamy and gnarly sounding when needed and the octave adds that super sound which brings me right back to the 70s!
The Germanium is to me the best transistors for a fuzz even if unstable, but the sonic performance is incomparable with the silicone; actually one of the best I own together with the SM Fuzz, the Vemuram Miryad, the King Tone Guitar Vintage Fuzz and the Boss FZ-3W.
BUT there are two complains I wanna share: 1. the plugs are switched (instr. on the left and amp. on the right), so I had to use longer cables to plug it on my pedal board and this @WarmAudio is not acceptable, especially now that ALL pedals work the opposite; I understand to faithfully recreate the legendary pedal, but I mean if you are wise, you should correct the design mistakes made at that time!
2. there's not an on/off light so it's difficult to understand or remember after a session if the fuzz is on or off. Again here, design mistake to be corrected.
Think about Steve Jobs who was "stealing" but correcting all the mistakes in Apple's designs...
Anyway I'll keep this effect on my board for a long time!
