Yamaha SX 900
Sligo John O, 22.01.2020
My new Yamaha arrived the other day and my initial reaction is one of delight. I wanted a smaller keyboard that i could carry around when playing with friends and the SX 900 fits the bill.
It has a user friendly keyboard with buttons and equivalent touch screen functions. I tend to prefer buttons (I'm an analogue kind of guy)
It has a great array of sounds and styles and with the arranger you get a genuine band feel.
I suppose i am a bit disappointed with the piano sounds but a sold a Nord to buy the SX 900 and was spoiled with quality piano sounds. But overall my initial reaction is very positive.
The manual isn't quite as friendly as the keyboard and some of the diagrams are hard to read. The SX 900 comes without a pedal and a Korg sustain pedal I possessed wouldn't work with it.
I am not in a position to compare the SX to competitors as I havent had an arranger keyboard for a long time.
But one week into having it I must say so far so good and I am happy with my purchase.

SX900 - druckvolles, sauber klingendes Keyboard
Hans-WernerR, 24.10.2019
