I purchased this Zildjian 17" K Custom Special Dry Trash after quite a bit of research and it did not disappoint!

I bought this to accent my cymbal set up and add a modern pop element to my sound. It's dark, with an extremely fast decay. Very dry, almost artificial sounding. Creates a perfect trashy burst and then gets out of the way fast! Sounds great to enhance other cymbals, or accent your playing. It also sounds class when partnered with a loud rimshot or snare crack. There is almost no sustain. So this is strictly an add on. Not to be treated as your main cymbal in a traditional set up. But I can guarantee you it's a lot of fun playing it. The trick is to avoid the temptation keep playing it!

It will sound awesome in modern styles like soul, hip hop, and pop. If you like dry expressive cymbals with personality this is a standout!

...die Bewertung von Bonedo trifft es sehr gut,
hatte vorher das Zultan 19" Dune Trash Crash in der mache,
muß sagen das Zildjian 17" hat mich Sound technisch überzeugt. Klanglich ist das Zultan auch nicht schlechter, aber vom Sound ist das Zildjian breiter aufgestellt() mehr mitten.
Hatte aber bloß das 17" u. 19" zum Vergleich, kenne also das 16/18" von Zultan nicht. Da ich aber Zildjian spiel bin ich dabei geblieben und habe denn musikalischen höheren Preis Bezahlt ;-) und nicht bereut .

J'en ai presque oublié d'utiliser ma China 21" K car en scène confinée elle passe mieux et est moins violente dans tous les cas.

Superbe son, mais volume un peu faible.

Un très bon son, très "washy", l'attaque est douce (plus que ce que à quoi je m’attendais) et avec juste ce qu'il faut de sustain.

Je lui enlève néanmoins une étoile car son volume sonore mériterait d'être un peu plus important. J'ai 2 crashs K Custom Dark en 16" et 18" de la même marque dans mon set et la différence de volume sonore à frappes équivalentes avec cette Special Dry Trash "17" nécessite d'adapter son jeu. A voir pour le coup sa solidité et sa tenue dans le temps car cette cymbales est de plus assez fine.
