Sweet sweet windless stuff
Bought this for my Zoom H2n, and it does it's job pretty darn well. Though it can't really handle properly high winds, but I wouldn't expect it to anyways, you'd need a heck of a lot bigger windshield for seriously hairy weather. I tried it during a high wind storm that fell quite some trees over the weekend, and as was expected it struggled in the open. With that being said, it is very well made, and as long as you're not beside a twister it'll absolutely handle relatively windy weather. Another good thing is that it is pretty transparent sound wise, I didn't notice any treble loss on my recordings with it on. The only thing that is regretable is the way it "fastens" to the recorder - there's a rubbery cord running through the bottom opening, and there's a lock to fasten it, but no matter how tightly I fasten it, it slips off with ease. No wind will knock it off, that's for sure, but taking it in and out of a backpack, you always have to mind the fact that it can't snag on anything, not even a bit, or it'll come off, and that gets somewhat annoying if you are recording in freezing temps, as now you have to take your gloves off to put it back on and so forth. Also, on the H2n it covers up the play, navigation, menu (this one is understandable, since it's high up) and volume buttons, which is manageable, but again, a bit annoying. Overall, it's pretty good, does it's job just as you'd expect, and is well made. Do recommend.

overall good product
I am overall very happy with the foxtail. The recorded sound has definitely less wind/white noise and is therefore suited for sound design and sample making. The only thing that I am struggling with is how to put it on the zoom. sometimes I have a lot of stuff on me whilst recordings and the band needs two hands to tighten and to keep the foxtail in place. Also keep it away from your cats! Won't end well...

Good for the Sony PCM D-100 too.
I got this as an superior replacement of the included windshield with the Sony PCM D-100. I would recommend it for users of this device as it provides significantly better wind noise suppression than the windshield that Sony supply. It's also easier to get on than the Sony one!

Works exactly as intended
Bought this with the Zoom H4 Recorder, it's quite easy to put on and easily adjustable. In any of the windy settings I used it in haven't got any unwanted noise in the recordings.

winddicht zonder merkbare verlies aan kwaliteit
betreft het tegenhouden van de wind werkt het goed zonder verlies aan klank, alleen zit ik vaak wel wat te prutsen om het goed over de H1n microfoon te krijgen, het blijft niet altijd zitten, heeft een aantrekbare touw. Het zit ook al gauw over je scherm en knoppen want is beetje te groot voor H1n.

I'm very satisfied with the quality
Tested it with a zoom H8 recording a machine that blows air and it works great. It is unbelievable how close to the source I could reach using the windshield on.
Can't say if it is the best in the market, but for the price I'm totally satisfied with the quality, hence the 5 star.
Also nice feature, with the elastic lace, which can be tightent, I can adjust this windshield to multiple devices and for many uses.

Nice to have
it makes the difference i was looking for when i may be in nature and want to record and don't want to have the audio ruined by the simple breeze or medium to high wind blow...

Good quality product
I have bought this windshield for my Zoom H3-VR Ambisonics Recorder and when I used it it worked great also in the after rainy time. Good protection for the mics and hand recorders!
