2box TrigIt Triggerset

I am torn. I bought these as the first triggers I've ever tried. I believe it isn't necessarily that I dislike these triggers perse, but rather than I dont like clip on triggers in general. With that being said, I am generalising. I have reached a set up that I am very happy with, with a 1-up 1-down tom setup, I have the 2box TrigIt's on the rack tom and floor tom, and use their kick TrigIt on the bass drum. For those drums, they are completely fine. Where I grew unhappy, and the reason for the lower rating, is that the rim sensor was very difficult to get reliable results out of for rimshots on the snare. I don't need rim sensors on my toms for what I'm doing. But the snare. It took a whole chunk of playing out of my ekit. I ended up buying a "basket" style internal 4-sensor unit for my snare. Certainly for a beginner these are a fairly plug and play item, just be prepared that cross-sticking and rimshots may not be doable.

I would like to also add that the units themselves are gorgeous, they are built like tanks and very robust. Absolutely no concerns over the build quality of these items.

The manual is very very sparse for information.
