Great microphone for demos due to it's very affordable price and sturdy nature.
Audio quality is great, you can't really expect better at this price point, it's clear and flat enough; the build is nice, not cheap looking but not exactly ergonomically nor aesthetically pleasing either.

Good for Female Vocals
An excellent dynamic microphone for vocals, especially for female singers. With proper pre-amp and EQ, this microphone has an exceptional value, having served me on both live and recording applications. Highly recommended if you want something different than Shure SM57.

A good mic at a great price
The AKG D5 is a good mic. The sound quality is pretty good. I use it mainly for beatboxing and voice chatting. Voice is clear, and the beatboxing sound quality live on stage is good.
The build is adequate and it feels like it would last a long time. Feels nice in the hand too.
I can recommend this for price/benefit people. Low price, good quality. A great product from AKG.

Pretty nice
If you are looking for a mic to use for studio recordings AND live performance you choose the right produst.
Pros
The tone and the response gives the feeling that you have an EQ in your hands. Great sound, a little bit more bass. The weight is good. For studio is recomended for its clarity. For live performances is recomended for the stable sound even for more clumsy vocalists in terms of voice
Cons
You may have the feeling that you don't have sound in live performances but the sound will be killer. I dont know if this is a pro or con. If it falls it will break that's almost for sure, so Metalcore vocalists go in another mic.
Recomended

AKG D-5
Compared to the "industry standard" SM-58, the AKG D-5 has more clear and well-balanced sound. In other hand I think the D-5 is prone to feedback with less gain compared to SM-58. The construction is solid, no problems there.
