Aquarian "Jack DeJohnette" 12" head

A slightly thicker head at 10mil that the standard 7mil "Texture Coated", and as such delivers a "wetter" tom sound.
Although I initially liked this wetter sound I felt that they lacked projection compared to the standard TC's that I've used for many years.
Probably great if you're in a miked up situation but hard work in an acoustic environment.

It was good to check them out but I don't feel that they were worth the higher price point. I'll change back to TC's for the next gig.

maybe it's because they have Jack de Johnette printed on the head, so that when I look down at my drums while playing I get inspired, maybe it's the black rough texture that just looks so good, or maybe it's the tone like no other heads I've ever played; (and I've been playing since the mid 70's. you can tune then tight and high, or low and funky, they are simply the best heads I've ever played, end of story...

J'ai utilisé cette peaux pour une caisse claire de 12'
C'est un son très précis avec peu de sustain parasite et la peaux en elle même est très résistante...j'en suis pleinement satisfait...

Ich habe mein komplettes Schlagzeug mit diesen Fellen ausgestattet. Der Sound dieser Felle ist fantastisch. Viele Leute fragen mich, nachdem sie meine Videos gesehen haben, mit welchen Fellen ich diesen Super Sound hinbekomme. Ich habe fast mein ganzes Leben mit Remofellen gespielt und wollte nun Aquarian ausprobieren und ich möchte nicht mehr zurück, weil der Sound groß und tief ist und sogar ohne Mikrofon verliert sich der Sound nicht. Mein Eindruck diese Felle in der Hand zu haben, ist sehr stabil und stark, ohne Fehler und sehr hochwertig. Einfach ein empfehlenswertes Produkt.
