No on/off switch
I don't like it that much, but I don't have the money now for a better one like Rolls RA-53b.
Amplification is weak. I think I hear a small quality drop compared to not using it too. It's more of a splitter.
I don't get it why a device like this doesn't have an on-off switch. OK, it's one less button to get noise, but I want to turn it off without having to reach back to the power socket.

Nice headphone amp for the money
I needed a basic 4 channel headphone amp for my home studio so I went ahead and bought this. It does exactly what it says, a nice 4 channel headphone amp, perfect for recording bands or when there are more than one artist recording at the same time. There is just the 1 input so as I said it is basic, the 4 outputs are going to be all the same, the mix will be the exact same in all sets of headphones. Its a nice unit, solidly built and the level knobs work perfectly, I never really have to turn any of them past 1 o clock, as they are plenty loud. If you are looking for a no frills headphone amp to add some more headphone outputs to your usb/firewire interface then this is perfect for you. If you need various different mixes for each set of headphones then you probably need something more expensive.

No fuss, very simple and portable
Cheap and absolutely crucial when recording an artist. I use it in studio to let everyone involved listen with their own headphones they are used to and when tracking to control the performers, bystanders and my own headset. And it does what it's supposed to, one signal becomes four each with it's own volume. I would maybe ask for a global volume knob, but it's not that big of a deal. Allaround, it's small an portable.
For the highest impedance headphones I'm not sure if the device has enough power in it, tho, even with an external power source (no USB). Also, the green light is a little bright for my taste and I have taped it.

Boost your phones!
The HeadAMP 4 has been in my studio for 5 years now and is used on a daily basis. It has never failed to deliver. Not once. It just keeps on pumping that sound to the recording rooms and the vocal booth without hesitance.
Good one!

Just headphone AMP and nothing else.
Need a simple amp for 4 channels, that will work on 100% without surprises?
That one is for you.
Honest sound, low noise, strong housing.

Useful headphone amp
This amp features 4 outputs with separate level control. It is housed in a solid metal box, so I think it will stand its ground on the road.
A big plus of the device is that it has both a 3.5mm and a 6.3mm jack outputs, which is useful in the setting I use it - in a DIY stage monitoring system.
Overall it works as expected with some small remarks about the build quality,

A headphone preamp that does exactly what it says it will. The outputs for both jack and mini jack are handy, saves mucking about with adapters. IT can cope with a lot of noise too.
