You Get What You Pay For
The idea of a 2 in 1 pedal with a Graphic EQ and Tuner really appealed to me as a space saver on the pedal board. I have an old Boss EQ pedal which is excellent, but the addition of the built in tuner sounded like a good option to save space. This pedal looks great and is well built, but the EQ is quite poor I'm afraid. I thought this would be just like my Boss EQ with a tuner built in, but it's not. The EQ on this pedal is very limited in that the range is not very linear. As you move the sliders up and down there is no discernible difference in the EQ until the sliders reach their max position, and even then the tone still isn't right for each frequency band. However, this is a very affordable pedal with some good features so all is not lost. I now use this pedal as a "Boost" in my effects loop when I need a bit more oomph for lead playing. I use it to boost the mids and my volume, and I can also check my tuning too!

Good EQ but mine was a bit buzzy!
This EQ was fine but I had to pair it with a noise gate.. as it produced a low level buzz all the time when plugged in. When using battery power, it only lasted about twenty minutes, so this wasn't practical at all. Fine for basic needs.

Artec eq and tuner
I bought this artec eq pedal because it has a built in tuner. I use it in the fx loop of my bugera 333xl amp , and i must say the eq pedal in conjunction with the eq on my amp have helped me shape my tone considerably. The pedal does not add much noise to my amp when I turn the gain control knob to the full because I use the noise gate of my amp with it. But I usually use the eq pedal to make subtle changes only. The tuner is easy to use and i think this pedal is a cheap alternative to boss pedals. For the price this pedal is a good deal as it has a gives sound and can be used not only as an eq but also as a tuner.
