Good electronics, pots could be better
I bought these electronics to replace the default(read cheap) ones from a Harley Benton 4 string P-J bass. The installation went smooth; i have consulted their official site for diagrams and schematics, since the package contained no such thing. Since i switched form a 2band to a 3band eq, i cannot really say if the sound changed because of the electronics, or the setup of eq. But it definitely did not became worse. When it comes to the build quality, the pots the ones that drag it down. They spin super easy, and feel a bit cheap. The volume pot is having a weird logarithmic feel;the first and last 10% do not change the volume; going down from 90% to 80% though is a huge difference. Under 80% the volume is too low for me.

Best thing i bought!
I bought it for my brother bass guitar,,he got ibanez sr800 japanese vintage from 91! and bass just got that modern sound now that i have been loking for, when i first connected it it was distorted a bit, then i fixed it with trim pot for every pickup. Now it works Flawlesly! Battery is very efficient, and doesnt make some nasty noisy sound like it used to do without upgrade..go for it,,cheap but worth it!

Perfectly reasonable onboard preamp
Fitted to my much abused 1983 ibanez roadstar fretless.
Sounds very nice, it's fine nothing dramatic or spellbinding but it works nicely. Good cuts and boosts.
A bit fiddly to fit and switching part too a bit of figuring out for a novice like me.
Good value ...really
Not as powerful as a sire preamp (by a long shot) but better than others I've owned

Functional and budget friendly
This is a good value 3 band bass preamp from artec. The quality is ok, its not going to win awards for its construction but it is easy to fit and is a clean noiseless system. I have been running two of these in couple of basses that I gig regularly and they haven't caused any noise or any other trouble. They also appear fine on battery useage. I can recommend them as a workhorse product.

Artec se-3 bass preamp
Good quality preamp, I used it to convert a passive bass to active. It sounds as good as many other higher priced preamps. Easy to solder too as the solder points are a good size and easily accessible. Prewired cables are really neat and tidy. The blend pot works really well. For the price they are, you really can't go wrong, would certainly use one of these again in the case of a similar project.

Great preamp for the price!
It's easy to install, easy to solder, easy to get it running. on flat sound is neatly transparent, except for a tad bit of compression of signal i belive (from what my ears are telling me), but good kind of compression, don't get me wrong, this is major plus. bass/mids/treble are on good starting points and boost and cut seem natural and musical. bass isn't boomy but it's focused and powerfull and treble is nice and sparkly&natural. mids are good. can stand toe to toe with much much more expensive preamps.

Good ticket to active pre
Replaced stock passive electronics with this artec. Decent pre, not that noisy. Only thing thing i wish it had a better cut/boost range.
