On-off missing.
OK, I'm not young, but always turn the mic switch off if I leave it un'attended, for sonic reasons and for anti idiot reasons.
That apart, this mic is very, very good in every way a mic should be good.
I used it at my regular weekly gig in town and it really brings all & every 'nice' piece/part of my old voice together.
I have a recent Boss acoustic singer combo (from thomann) which is definitely capable of making the signal from this mic into an impressive sound, love it.
The extra gain from this mic is almost one quarter turn on my mic pre "better" than my best dynamic mic.
Almost zero noise when this mic is hand held, as my lady singer prefers hand held, she also enjoys her voice through this mic too.
As I always use below 80/100z roll off on my eq, this mic suits plenty.
Happy with this mic + manufacturer 15 year guarantee.

I bought this as an alternative to an SM58 vocal mic. The obvious difference is that the 710 requires phantom power, which is kind of annoying when it comes to doing busking with my street cube. But there's actually a really handy portable, rechargeable phantom power bank which I use.
But with the condenser status against the SM58 dynamic, the increased sensitivity of the mic is the payoff, which suits I would say, more 'intimate' vocal styles. It's also just a bit different as everyone has an SM58. I've yet to use it to record an amp or instruments, but will be doing so.
