One of my fav go-to mics!!!
VC.LX.PT 22.02.2020
Amazing sound , to me feels like a bit neutral/linear yet retaining the life of the instrument itself, doesn't have the same presence in sound as DPA 4099 though, none the less, very detailed response without sounding cold or harsh, i have used it on almost "everything" , from Sax, Clarinet, Trumpet, AC Guitar, Double Bass, Violin, Toms, Percussion instruments ... damn even used them on choirs !!!

The only thing that sometimes may give you trouble setting this mic on some instruments, its because of his mini clip-on,besides that i am very happy with it, would buy another asap!!!

Excellent
Tradman 14.10.2015
This mic is excellent!!! I have used it on Flute, Violin, Drums to name a few and it performs brilliantly. Side by side with DPA I would pick this one for the gigs I do, they are often really loud and this Audio Technica has a much higher tolerance/rejection to sound. Very little feedback and is really durable, it will last much longer than other mics in its class. If it ever breaks I'll buy another one!

Pro35 For Upright Bass
Fioramonti 05.10.2022
I bought this microphone after years using a terrible-sounding piezo on my doublebass: the sound of the pizzicato was "ok" but the arco was not.
I tried the audio technica and I was surprised by the quality on this product: both pizzicato and arco sound amazing and very natural, and very little feedback issues. I put four stars on the features cause the standard clip on the doublebass is not the best thing, and I think I'll buy the doublebass adapter; overall is perfect and I'm curious about trying it on an acoustic bass amp.
Worth buying it!

Good for some instruments

The clip system works well on brass but needs extra accessories for other instruments. Sounds great with a little EQing. Wouldn't recommend for violinists as mounting becomes a problem.

Good build quality.

I bought this for a friend who uses this for his Alto Sax Selmer with VoiceLive 3 Effect.

The sound is good, very easy to setup and to pack up.
