Lots of features in a small box.
This DI box is great. It has all the buttons and connectors on the front which are clearly labelled. The DI box its self has very little sound colouration and would be great for most scenarios. The XLR connections are strong, but the jack connection come across as a compromise.
Con 1
The battery compartment has a screw to change the battery. This means it is kept secure. But is also a pain to change if the battery dies.
This isn't the end of the world, but means you always have to has a screwdriver handy if you need to change it.
Con 2
This DI box also doesn't like long XLR runs to it with phantom power. If you run this from phantom power, you need to have under 20 meters otherwise it won't be reliable. The power loss in the cable will mean it won't have enough power for the big transients in an audio signal.

cheao and cheerful
I use this for my electro acoustic when its plugged straight into a PA system. It does a good job of balancing out the guitar sound. As its an active DI box (powered by the desk's phantom power) it gives a bit of poke to my pickup which is a bit underpowered. I find that I need to do make much less adjustment to the treble/middle/bass when I use this box.
Its sturdy construction means that I don't have to worry about it being accidentally damaged when getting brought to gigs in my gig bag. All in all its excellent value for the price.

Great value - occasional hiccups with build quality
We use this as part of our band set up in church. We chose this product because you get two channels - i.e. two instruments can be plugged in which makes it high value.
Generally speaking these work really well. The pad is useful, the ability to switch between two channel is also useful - the sound quality seems fine.
Having bought a few of these though, we have noticed that the build quality has not robust enough and occasionally we've had popping/loud banging noises from one. Our context is a regular set up by volunteers which doesn't help in terms of taking care of equipment.
I'd say if you look after your gear you should be ok, and the overriding value of the item makes any potential breakages worthwhile.

Tend to go pop after a while - but I still like them!
I've had loads of these and you see them everywhere. They are great for general use and for linking bass amps into a PA, etc but they do seem to have a habit of going pop after a while. However they're so cheap that they're almost disposable, and you can carry a spare or two! I'll keep buying them because they so useful.

Obviously this isnt on a par sound quality wise with a Radial or BSS but for a budget box it functions just fine.
Particular handy for use on stereo sources or Keyboards it save running two separate boxes.

Simple and effective
The title says it all. Not as noiseless and some higher end products, but for alive situation they are fine.

cheap, does the job for us
We use this to get decent signals from our three basses ( one bass player, sadly only able to play one at a time ) They work very well for us. We very much like the sound that we get. Only used on live gigs - maybe in a studio there is a reason to spend much more money.
Gripes - nothing material - battery compartment is fiddly and a tight fit, switches are not great - too easy to get moved from position A to position B so we try and put them somewhere where they will not get fiddled with, stood on etc.
Set up is that the basses plug in to the DI boxes, the DI Boxes feed a little onstage mixer which the bass player controls and then we take a feed out of the on stage mixer to the main mixer which our sound engineer controls. Works fine.
I am aware of nothing in remotely the same price bracket that takes two signals. We have not used the product to split a signal other than to check it works.

Long-lasting quality
I got this DI-Box eight years ago to use between my stage paino and multi-core/mixer and used it on a regular basis ever since.
Other DIs have more features, but everything I personally need is inside this little box.
Sound might not be suitable for very sensitive studio-environments but for live use on a budget, it's fine. Only downside might be the ground lift that doesn't get you totally hum-free all the time.
The build quality is top notch though, especially in this kind of price range - it never let me down even once. Maybe the input jacks (1/4") could be a bit more solid but after all, it's a 25 bucks gadget.
If it's ever going to fail, I'd probably buy it again.

Fantastic little unit..
I would have given 5 stars except for the fact it's difficult to install a battery and almost impossible to remove it - so.. I'd suggest phantom power use only

behringer D120 DI Box X2
I've been hauling this little baby around to gigs now for two or three years and it's never left me down . You do have to check sometimes to make sure all the switches are set to the right setting to get your sound right . Having the two channels is very handy . I keep mine in a little plastic box to prevent it from getting knocked about during transport and it also keeps the dust out of it . Overall I'm very happy with it . T
