Cushion your ears with these for comfort and quality
Quality
Comfort and quality, what more do you need from earphone pads? The DT100 headphones are my studio favourites. After many years hard use replacing the worn out pads was an easy choice. How many other headphone makers even sell replacement ear pads?
Fitting
The only problem was fitting the pads. This requires a slow and measured approach. You need to gentle ease the pads on the phones. Be careful not to damage the plastic skirt which holds the ear pads in place. I found that making a start at the top or bottom worked for me. I moved the skirt into place making sure that it wasn't wrapped under. At the end I had to stretch the pad to complete the fitting. Once I had fitted one I had gained all the confidence I needed to fit the second.
Comfort and Style
These black velour pads are ideal whether you are having an all night lock in or a short tracking session. You might be getting grief from a tone deaf client or high praise from a hip hop king but you will remain calm with these ear pads and - best of all - you will look cool!

Cant praise these highly enough.
I have a very old pair of perfectly working DT-100s that I trust unquestioningly so I was upset when the vinyl covering started to decay.
It was rather embarrassing having a singer over and him brushing pieces of rubber from his ears after tracking vox. So I thought I would have to buy a new pair of headphones.
I was delighted to bring my DT-100s back to almost new with such a simple product. Again its the kind of thing you scoff at until you need it!
I can not recommend this highly enough - you know when you will need it - and it works perfectly (plus I prefer the warm material over the original cold covers!).

Finally a replacement that doesn't melt with time!!...
Having gotten the plastic ones for so long, I was looking for a replacement that doesn't melt and leave black residue on the ears after a year of use. This is the velour version and it is super comfortable and won't melt anytime soon!

Very handy
If you have several radio presenters all using the same cans, it's inevitable that some wear and tear is going to occur. Always a good idea to have spare parts on stand by.

Great replacement parts
I purchased 2 sets to replace the original ear pads/foam on my DT-100s. They are a little tricky to put on due to the snug fit. Take your time when doing it. Once on - perfect. Much more comfortable than the originals. I agree with other reviewers that these can be comfortably worn for longer periods. Wish I had changed over to these velour versions sooner.

Comfort
I have a set of DT100 headphones, and the leather was cracked from years of use. I bought these for more comfort. Its like a new set of headphones, warm to wear, and I can wear them for longer periods of time. I definitely prefer these velvet type as they don`t seem to stick to your face and irritate your skin, like the plastic or leather ones do. The packet they came in had the inner foam too for inside the the ear piece. They were easy to install and look very natural. they look and feel very durable. The isolation has definitely improved on my set since I put these on, because of the snug firm fit. I heard tales that they warm the sound a bit too, less shrillness.... ? I listened closely, closer, then closer. I nearly heard it! But I wouldn`t know about that.

A big improvement!
The pads on my 'phones had become very worn and damaged - held together with gaffa tape! Finally I decided to treat myself to a replacement, and wish I had done it before.
They have brought the 'phones to feeling like new - I find these velour ones more comfortable than the leather ones, especially in long sessions. I can't say I've found any noticeable change in the sound.
As ever, a good price for a good product.
