A versatile amp for sophisticated systems

On the front panel of the silver Bose mixer amplifier, to the right of the power button, there's an XLR combo jack that allows flexible connection of either a microphone via XLR cable or a line signal via jack cable, and just beside it, there's a dial to increase the gain by up to 50dB. The high-quality Class D amplifier ensures powerful, efficient amplification, while the internal digital signal processing optimises performance for exceptional sound quality. On the rear panel, two inputs (A and B) can be switched between from the front panel for convenient operation, with each input adjustable independently in level. Additional configuration options are available through the DIP switches beneath the page input, allowing users to define whether the input source should follow the master output level or maintain a fixed output, offering flexible control for a variety of setups.

This bundle includes four speakers that can be securely suspended from the ceiling in a single location, each featuring a 2.25" driver capable of reproducing frequencies from 83Hz to 19kHz with a maximum sound pressure level of 106dB SPL at peak. Delivering up to 80W peak power, their wide 130° dispersion angle allows for flexible placement across the ceiling and at a comfortable distance from walls, ensuring balanced and effective sound coverage throughout the room. Equipped with a Euroblock socket for easy cable management, these speakers are also UL 1480 ULC-S541 certified, making them approved for use in fire alarm and signalling systems and suitable for professional, safety-compliant installations.

Designing the right application and sound

If users wish to make announcements in the room, the system can be easily expanded with additional equipment. For this purpose, an XLR combo jack is located to the right of the power button, allowing flexible connection of either a microphone via XLR cable or a line signal via jack cable, while the adjacent gain control enables amplification of up to 50dB thanks to the high-quality Class D amplifier. The front panel also provides access to a 2-band EQ, allowing adjustment of bass at 100Hz and midrange at 7kHz by up to 6dB for fine-tuned sound shaping. On the rear panel, an EQ preset in the form of a 60Hz high-pass filter can be activated to enhance the performance of connected Bose Professional FreeSpace FS2C/SE and FS4C/SE speakers, and this preset can also be applied to the AUX output via a DIP switch, ensuring optimal audio clarity and balance across different configurations.
