For music and announcements

The Bose Professional FreeSpace IZA 190-HZ is a mixing amplifier that expands the Bose IZA series, designed for music playback and announcements in fixed installations, offering first-class sound thanks to its high-quality components while remaining exceptionally easy to operate. Its Opti-Voice Paging function enables seamless transitions between music and speech, ensuring consistent and comprehensible sound reinforcement. With balanced and unbalanced inputs in RCA and Euroblock formats on the rear, both a microphone and an AUX signal can be connected from the front for a reliable and convenient signal path. With this combination of features, dependable everyday distributed audio is ensured, be it in shopping centres, doctors’ surgeries, or any other permanent installations.

State-of-the-art components, practical operation

On the front of the silver Bose mixing amplifier, just to the right of the power button, an XLR combo jack offers flexible connection options, letting users plug in either a microphone via XLR or a line signal via jack cable; just beside it, the gain control allows an increase of up to 50dB. A high-quality Class D amplifier delivers clean and efficient power, while the internal digital signal processing continuously optimises performance for a clear, balanced sound. On the rear panel, users will find two inputs labelled A and B, both selectable from the front panel and adjustable independently, and below the paging input, a row of DIP switches provides additional configuration options, such as deciding whether the input source should follow the master output level or operate at a fixed level.

Extension of the Bose IZA series

The Bose Professional FreeSpace IZA 190-HZ is designed as an ideal extension of the Bose IZA series and serves as the centrepiece for fixed installations where both music coverage and clearly audible announcements are required, delivering high sound quality at 48kHz and 24 bits. It provides a dynamic range of 88dB and a low latency of 10.4ms from the analogue input to the digital output, ensuring responsive and detailed audio. Setup is simple and flexible, as all adjustments are made directly on the device without the need for software-based configuration, and thanks to its compact design, the mixer amplifier fits comfortably on any work surface. It can also be mounted in a 19" rack using an optional rack kit, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of installation environments.

About Bose Professional

Bose Professional was established as an independent entity following its separation in 2023 from the Bose Corporation, a company best known for its consumer products. Today, Bose Professional is dedicated to developing sound systems that are straightforward in design, installation, and operation, serving live performance venues as well as commercial and conference environments. From workplaces and places of worship to universities, restaurants, retail stores, hotels, and event spaces of all kinds, Bose Pro systems are deployed across the globe. Decades of expertise have resulted not only in numerous innovations but, above all, in immensely practical and adaptable solutions.

Includes EQ control for optimal sound

The front panel features a 2-band EQ that lets users adjust the bass (at 100Hz) and the midrange (at 7kHz), with a boost or dip for each band by up to 6dB. On the rear panel, an EQ preset in the form of a 60Hz high-pass filter can be activated to optimise the performance of the Bose Professional FreeSpace FS2C/SE and FS4C/SE speakers, should they be connected. This preset can also be routed to the AUX output via a DIP switch, helping to balance the room acoustics and create a more harmonious overall sound – and if any distortion occurs at the output due to clipping, the gain for each of the four inputs on both the front and rear panels can be adjusted accordingly.
