Amazing piece of gear that would benefit from a better build quality
Ashesborn 21.09.2022
Works great – the sound quality is impeccable, and the fact that the unit can function as an audio interface while also applying live FX to vocals and synths allows me to cut out some of the extra devices I'd need in my chain otherwise. I've yet to get a full grasp on all of its looping and mixing capabilities, though, because there are just so many features, but thus far, I am astounded by how much I can do on the fly. It immediately puts you in the mood to improvise and experiment.

The build quality could be better, though. The body feels too light and plastic, almost like a toy. One accidental drop, and this expensive piece of gear is likely to end up in... well... pieces.

Excellent looper

Easy to use from the get go didn't need the manual much. All the basic functions are easy to find . Great for using you're voice as a an instrument and /or sound effects eg. bass sounds , drum sounds as the effects help you do this with ease. Would be perfect if it was 98khz , maybe in the future. You will need to be quite careful with this as it is made of plastic and would not survive a big fall . Really good for practicing pieces / riffs/ etc
Of course getting good at looping takes a lot of practice and also more to do with organizing stuff . 5 tracks gives you a lot of freedom and makes things a much easier . Effects are quite decent and sound good and are usable but are limited . Great device , i believe you can also control this with a midi device , I have a nectar pacer which can be used but i haven't tried it yet, I believe it works well with it.

A fun mixed bag

It definitely delivers when aiming for basic looping sessions. The workflow is very intuitive and offers the fun it promises as soon as it's plugged in.
If you want to control it with a midi foot pedal like the Behringer FCB1010, it's not going to be intuitive at all, but doable if you put in the effort : you'll have to use the rotary knob navigation for configuration. I did not find an intuitive desktop interface to avoid that.
The built-in effects are OK but not great (reverbs, delays...). I'd recommend using your own effect processors with it. It's a great toy rather but not a workstation. You won't get bored with it.

Shame it is plastic
Robert7183 12.11.2025
Works very well for the most part. Sound quality is good. Some of the effects are a bit too grainy but mostly good. Recording is simple. Would benefit from more audio editing but I can understand this is primarily a performance tool. After a couple of years of use, the sliders are starting to cause audio cutout when moved which is not great. Otherwise pretty good.
