Why did I wait so long to get an overdrive?
Kyouki_IE, 23.11.2020
Overdrives are often talked about, and I must admit for a long time I was somewhat ignorant. Only in the last year or so I learned how they can be used to boost an amp, rather than for their own overdrive/distortion.

When I pair this with an old Marshal, it makes the amp sound so tight and cutting, the kind of tone I always wanted but for years struggled to get!

These are so cheap, and the impact they have, I believe now everyone should have one! An overdrive can save an amp that sounds too dull or doesn't have enough bite. Set drive to 0 and level to max, and it pushes your amp into a nice and tight, cutting saturated tone.

Highly recommend this!

First Pedal!!
Paddy&Co, 06.04.2021
Yes this is my first pedal.... I know!!
Its great I use it with a modelling amp and my looper pedal to achieve a different tone when looping. Works great, only complaint is you need to remember to unplug the instrument cable otherwise it will drain the 9V battery. If I buy more pedals I will also consider a power supply.
The sound is great, sometime I play it with the OD turned down, just to give a little bit of an edge or warmth to the modeling amp. I play it with a Les Paul and a Squire strat (not at the same time!!).
Its quite a solid pedal and feels like it will last quite a long time. I don't gig, so it dosent leave my living room.

This is just a classic
Ozzy Esen, 25.08.2019
I?ve been using lots of boutique pedals but I have returned to basics with this pedal. Drive section sounds great especially on a cleaner / at the edge of breakup set amp, but I don?t necessarily use it for this purpose.
It works exceptionally well with darker guitars such as Les Pauls because it removes a lot of the low end before you hit the amp by setting the output gain to maximum. When this low en is removed it gives you a much clear and punchy drive signal.

Lots of boutique takes of this pedal do not cut the low end as much, and they have a much higher output level. But the amount of output gain and low end cut I find that just correct.

This is a classic and it does not need to get fixed. So if you?re in doubt I highly recommend this overdrive.

100% expectations matcher
Hebb, 13.03.2021
When ordering this pedal you’ve probably watched some reviews of it and what you see is what you get. When I picked it up from the package box you could feel by only holding it in your hand that it’s top quality. The same quality feeling comes back when it’s turned on and the classic Sd 1 sound screams through the amp.
Summarised this is a “must have” pedal in your collection and I’m not regretting the purchase.
