The carbon bow i prefer broke and is no longer made so I had to find something new. I tried multiple Codabows and did not really like them until I tried this one. I use it on a standard acoustic violin. I play fiddle music and prefer a bit of an aggressive sound. The bow works well for this, I think it is a great bow for alternative/folk/fiddle music, I believe it will also work well for beginning players because of the way the weight is distributed, it is very forgiving.

Ich besitze und benutze diesen Bogen zwar erst seit 5 Tagen, aber der erste Eindruck könnte nicht besser sein.
Weil mein erster Geigenbogen (Bestandteil eines Sets) unter extremem Haarausfall leidet, das Kolophinium nicht richtig angenommen und dementsprechend - oder zusätzlich dazu - nicht richtig "angegriffen" hat, wollte ich einen hochwertigen Bogen haben, der mir das Lernen (ich spiele erst seit kurzem Violine) nicht zusätzlich erschwert. Da ich bereits Cello spiele, weiß ich, was ein guter Bogen Wert ist. Bei diesem Bogen passt alles zusammen, von der Optik, der Haptik bis zur Bedienbarkeit. Nach 3-4 Strichen ist der Bogen kolophoniert und spricht schön und kräftig an. Auch sein Duchhaltevermögen ist bemerkenswert, ich kann ihn wie einen Hauch über die Saiten gleiten lassen und dass ohne Qualitätseinbußen beim Ton. Was den Thomann-Service angeht: gewohnte und bewährte Spitzenklasse. Die Lieferung erfolgte wie immer schnell und sicher!
