A bit of a gimmick
This whole unique tension is unnoticable if you don't have very sensitive hands, but if you do, it's quite pleasant. The one issue is that the strings rust really quickly, but that might be because I live in a humid place. Might try coated strings next time

the better sounding cheap strings
This strings are very underpriced, they sound awasome and last very long compared with the majority of the strings out there.
They are also very strong, I'm using for a long time, and is the only type of strings that I never broke one.

Looks like the second string works better for me on these balanced tension sets.
