A complete tool
Fllo, 24.05.2011
Connectors:
In and Out in XLR Neutrik
Pilotable via PC in RS (DB9)

Ease of use:
Without the PC requires a few hours of flight on the driverack
With the PC and the software Driveware it is very easy to parameterize it: routing, correct the frequencies of the EQ, compressor etc ...

The +
> Can be bulky: shallow and 1U
> Mute of the independent outputs in front of 1 to 6
> Easy to use via PC
> Program library (settings of different configurations)
> 2 lock modes (program change lock or complete system lock)
> Very intuitive

The-
> Connection RS at the back, once the device racked this is not the ideal.
> Connection of the MIC RTA, once the device racked this is not the ideal.
> The deletion of the programs can only be done one by one
> If the system is not locked it is too easy to change programs (turn the dial to select a program and push the wheel), so be careful when handling a performance.

Easy-to-use speaker controller
Alexander M, 16.10.2009
A good 2 years ago, we decided to replace our previously active Driverack PA with a dBX Driverack 260, because we did manage the handling, but lacked a missing circuit on the off and the limit settings for our applications were not enough.

To the device itself:
The usability is very simple and offers only the haptics of the control elements a fine feeling at work. The basic system configuration is created by means of a wizard, whereby routing is not freely configurable, but all typical options are selectable (eg 2x6, 2x5, 2x4, etc.). The filters, paramteric EQs, delays and limiter can then be released for each output channel. Here, the setting possibilities cover almost everything the heart desires.

We have created the appropriate setups for various loudspeaker configurations and stored them on one of the 30 presets.

The built-in calibration function is used for optimal room adjustment during the events. Basically, this does not work badly, only afterwards something has to be taken out at the basses and also at the heights a train less.

For live recordings, the proven dBx feedback rejection is not bad, but it also has drawbacks, since a feedback from a singer not only keeps the voice down, but the whole system at this frequency.

All in all, a very successful controller, which so far has no failures and also in the price is extremely fair.
