Amazing for studenthousing!!
I've bought this mute for Euphonium because I'm currently living in student housing and wanted to continue practicing. It mutes the sound thoroughly causing not one of my neighbours to even hear a thing when I practice when using it. There is some tuning issues for some notes when playing, so it is better for practice (due to the very good muting) than for concerts. Very content!!!

Not a perfect practice mute but a perfect solution to practice
I bought this practice mute not for myself, but for my student who always complained that she couldn't practice after a certain time of the day because of the noise restriction in her neighbourhood.
And it worked like a treat - although it did change the tuning and the resistance a little, no more excuse for not practicing for my student and she has been playing with better breath support and a warmer sound, thanks to the extra effort she had to put in with the mute on.
I don't recommend to use this mute for a long period of time but 15 minutes to half an hour of practice with it every day does have some benefits to your playing - even if your next door neighbours love listening to you or they are just simply brass players like yourself...
