unique drumpedal but Jammans are missing
Kapser 13.05.2021
The pedal is unique in his kind. You can give in your basdrum and snare pattern and it becomes transformed in a drum, which you can modify. Good organic sound. It is really a good in between : between programming everything and standardized beats. I don't know any other drum pedal nor drum machine that does this. The Trio for exemple gives not that much simple control.
BUT... it has 2 failures.
1. The scratch guitar audition doesn't work well. I don't use it anymore. It's frustrating. It always misses a beat. I do the input with the knobs only. A pity.
2. There is a special sync output for a jamman looper or other devices, but is has become half useless. They don't make jammans anymore. This is a really big misser. It is absurd to promote one product and dismiss the other that's connected with it. You can time sync off course with other loopers (ditto midi, boss rc's, ...) but it seems that it nevers syncs as good as with the jammans.

Very unique and creative pedal after all.

Fun, but flawed
Trevicus 10.04.2018
I bought this pedal as soon as it came out. I was excited by the features and the idea of strum-able drums. I own a Beat Buddy too and it requires pre-programming to get the most from it, whereas the SDRUM seemed to be much more intuitive. That was the plan anyway.

Basically, I am using this pedal every week for my live acoustic gigs. It's so easy to use and a really solid piece of kit. You can save up to 36 songs which is perfect for getting me through a 2 hour set. So overall I am happy enough with my purchase. HOWEVER, people should be aware that the "strumable drums" claim is bogus. Now that may not be a big deal to me as I have it set up the way I want but considering this is it big selling point, they should be called on it! I have tried this thing with Les Pauls, Strats, my PRS, my Variax 700 and my acoustics and it is impossible to get the strumming to work as intended. It does not pick up everything (simple beats, nothing complicated) and half the time it will interpret kick drum as snare and vice-versa. In short, the only way to use this pedal is with the pads on the pedal itself. This is fine for me as I have it mounted on a stand but if I had to bend down to a pedal board every time, then I would never use this thing.

Also, if you are buying it, you will need to also buy the Digitech FS 3X, there is no way around that.

Difficult to impossible to get it to function the way I was led to believe it would. It's now sitting there unused until I have a full day free to analyze it, watch youtube videos, read forums and ask a non-commercial expert how the f**k to get it to build the rhythms i strum on the guitar. Definitely NOT intuitive.
