An awesome hard rock/metal pickup without losing it's versatility
When I bought this product I was looking for something that could fulfill my main playing styles (mainly hard rock and heavy/power metal) but that could also let me play other styles from time to time. And I think I found it.
First of all, this pickup is capable of delivering a good and precise rhythm tone for my playing style and is able to distort well, but without losing it's capability of delivering a nice clean sound. I'll probably be using the bridge pickup for clean sounds more often from now on, and this is something I wasn't used to do before.
Now, about lead tones: this pickup is amazing for soloing and delivers a nice and well balanced tone, without being too bright or too bassy. It's able to deliver wonderful harmonics, also.
Maybe this pickup is not suited for extreme metal styles, but it does sound well from blues to a lot of styles of metal, such as heavy, power, progressive and so on.

Put it in the right guitar!
So I bought the pickup for an old Ibanez Proline from 1986 with an original Edge, the bridge pickup was swapped for a Paf Joe by the previous owner and it sounded too bright and too weak, sadly the Gravity Storm was too loud and too dark, so I took it off and put it in an old Pearl Custom Export (Matsumoku) and there the pickup really shined! That guitar tended always to be a bit too bright but with a lot of sustain, now it growls with a lot of low end.
