Pretty descent

When the picks arrived their color seemed to be washed out. However, it seems to be some kind of "dust" left due to the material and/or manufacturing procedure. While playing for a few minutes they appear as their expected color.
They have a nice grip, durability seems fine and I haven't noticed any quality issues.
Definitely recommend if you like the tortex series.

Good but too thick for my taste (bass).
TrEr 19.09.2019
I got these for bass. I rarely use a pick on bass and when I do I normally used the thinner yellow Dunlops. I wanted to try some thicker ones but I much preferred the tone I got with the thinner yellows. These thicker ones made the sound too thin and clanky for my taste. I also got a better, more defined attack with the yellows. I had to play extremely hard to get a tight, defined "click" with these purple ones. With my normal style of picking the attack sounded more like "cloink".

Don't get me wrong, they're good quality picks, just not for me. Maybe if I was in a punk band, played REALLY hard and needed a clanky sound to cut through. For a fuller, warmer bass sound I would recommend going with a slightly thinner pick.

JS
A durable bunch of picks.
Jarno S. 01.09.2014
People use different picks for different reasons. So writing a review out of certain perspective would be no good. But, what I can say about these picks is that they're durable. No matter how hard I've been picking my 5-string bass, these picks haven't snapped or anything, and they wear down quite slowly. And the grip feels amazing, I've had issues with picks that they just slide off of my fingers if my fingers happen to sweat. These don't. Only bad thing I have to say about them, is that the ink from the print might make your fingers messy, but I've yet to see a pick that doesn't have that particular issue.

Great picks
Anonymous 08.07.2016
These picks are great when new, durability is a plus, but adherence becomes an issue over time. If you have sweaty hands you'll be needing a new pick every 15/20 minutes if you're playing live... which means 6 to 8 picks in a 2 hour setlist, even though they're still quite durable and may still be used fro practicing at home.

Still, I wouldn't change these for any other, although I may use a different thickness depending on the set.

Very good quality and lasts for along time

I had tried Slash's signature picks earlier , and I loved them. I found out that he uses these and I had to order them because I thought they were so good.

S
Great Pick, but wears out Quick
Stageman 17.07.2017
I play professionally, typically 2-3 hours per show, several times per week. I play an acoustic guitar very loudly, unamplified. I use this pick to get a good tone and good volume, and it's a wonderful thickness and curve. The only problem is that after perhaps 5 hours of playing, the tip wears down and I must get a new one.

This pick is great -- if you play super loud / often, purchase many of these and discard the old ones, or look for another pick material. ;)

Easy to grip and flexible enough for many styles of playing, fairly long lasting picks.

Quite stiff picks
Robin3747 16.01.2015
Nice feel though, kind of rough texture making them easier to keep hold of.
On the stiff or hard side for a pick. But then you expect that they are 1.14mm
