I mean, it’s a piece of art…literally.
Great hardware finishes as per usual from DW and amazing sound. This thing is loud and bright, I’d recommend to change the drumhead straight away though. The best bit are rim shots, they sounds great with true hoop.
I am in love with this snare drum!

J'ai 64 ans, je joue depuis 50 ans et c'est la meilleure caisse-claire que j'ai eue depuis mes anciennes "LUDWIG". Tout est là: la précision, la puissance et en même temps la finesse, le moelleux. Eine Snare die alles kann was man sich wünschen kann. So oder so ehnlich könnte man diese Snare kurz beschreiben. Habe diese Snare jetzt bereits seit einigen Monaten in Verwendung. Hier kurz meine Eindrücke:

Sound:
Von Jazz bis Metal kann sie alle Musikrichtungen bedienen, da sich ihr Sound so variieren lässt, dass einfach alles möglich ist. Bei einer sehr tiefen Stimmung hat sie noch einen genialen Toncharakter, bei einer sehr hohen Stimmung "knackt" sie so richtig inkl. schön ausgewogenen Obertönen und bei einer mittleren Stimmung kann man sogar diese Eigenschaften in bestimmten Ausmaß mit Hilfe der 3 stufigen Snareabhebung genial verbinden. Nicht umsonst wird diese Snare von vielen Profis (z.B. Thomas Lang, John “JR” Robinson, uvm.) Live und im Studio verwendet.

Verarbeitung:
Bei DW muss man hier nicht viel dazu sagen -> 1a.

Fazit:
Ist man auf der Suche nach einer genialen Snare für Live oder Studio hat man sie hier gefunden. Schöner abgerundeter Klangcharakter mit schönen metallischen Obertönen.

Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung!!!
