With the 800 series, PDP offers medium-weight hardware in a robust form, with all products boasting design elements and technical features that can also be found in DW’s professional hardware series. Stepless tilting facility via Glide Tilter
The DW PDP 800 Cymbal Boom Stand is a medium-weight, convertible stand with a retractable boom, which allows the cymbal stand to be used in a straight or extended position, thus offering extensive versatility. The robust double-braced legs and anti-slip rubber feet ensure that a secure and stable position is maintained. A key feature of the stand is the Glide Tilter mechanism, which allows stepless tilting of the cymbal and thus optimum customisation to the drummer’s requirements. In addition, all tube joints are fitted with composite memory locks.

All products from the PDP 800 series have been designed by the renowned manufacturer DW (Drum Workshop) in California. In terms of design and technical features, they reflect the professional hardware series available from DW, but carry a budget-friendly price tag, which primarily aims them at ambitious new drummers, music schools, and music teachers. However, the medium-weight and stable design combined with the high-quality workmanship involved in creating these products also makes them an excellent choice for all advanced drummers.

About PDP
PDP is the acronym for "Pacific Drums and Percussion" and is the name of a California-based drum and hardware manufacturer. The company was founded in 1999 by DW Drums to offer affordable instruments in addition to its own exclusive - and correspondingly expensive - brand, DW drums. To reduce costs, the production of the drum shells was outsourced first to Mexico and later to China. PDP has always used many original parts from the DW series. The Concept Series, with shells made of 100% maple, is currently the flagship in the portfolio. The Black Wax snare drums, available in six different sizes, are also part of the product range.
Simple setup
The affordability of the DW PDP 800 Cymbal Boom Stand makes it the ideal choice for more minimalist drum setups in rehearsal rooms and classrooms, but also suitable for more advanced setups. A double tube joint provides a two-way extension facility, allowing the cymbal to be adjusted to the desired height. Two composite memory locks also enable rapid assembly of the stand following transportation, thus rendering it unnecessary to search for the optimum position every time. The stand’s medium-weight design ensures that heavier cymbals do not cause stability problems, even when the boom is extended.
