BASS STRINGS

I'm not convinced by the Nano web coating on these strings. The last time I used the I found that it broke down and hung off the strings like loose snake shin. This caused buzzing when I played and they went into the dustbin long before I would have changed a normal set of strings. I was given a 4 string set of Elixirs and bought this one to try them again on my 5 string bass.No problems with the coating so far, but for me D'addarrio sound better

I tried many other strings for my bass. I received with most all of them a great sound for 1-2 weeks. After a month the sound was always dead. With elixir strings after a year the sound is still clear. It is maybe a little bit expensive, but compared to the lifetime it is worth to buy.

jamais je n'ai trouvé yn Si grave aussi profond, sans bavure, et avec une bonne présence que sur cette corde Elixir! cela reste toujours un grand plaisir de voir ses doigts littéralement courir sur la corde, si douce grace à son traitement de surface. Aucune marque ne peut égaler ces cordes et pourtant en 30 ans de musique j'en ai consommé un bon paquet! merci Elixir ...

Elixir.130 EL. Bass Single String. - "Schonmal von den Beschichteten Elixir-Saiten gehört? Super geil! Kauf dir die unbedingt mal!"

Elixir verspricht von diesen Saiten, dass sie sehr viel länger halten, weil sie beschichtet sind. Das stimmt auch! Ich hatte Sie ungewöhnlich lange drauf, bis sich irgenwann mal was getan hat bezüglich dem Verschmutzungsgrad und dem Klang.

Der Klang - es kommt glaube ich darauf an, was man sich von den Saiten verspricht, was man haben möchte, worauf man steht. Mir persönlich waren die Saiten vom Sound her etwas zu dumpf. Mir hat die Brillianz gefehlt. Ich hab das Gefühl gehabt, Gummisaiten (wegen der Beschichtung) zu spielen. Tatsächlich so, oder Einbildung? Ich weiß es nicht. Das muss jeder selbst herausfinden. Ich persönlich würde sie mir aber nicht nocheinmal holen, da ich den Preis zu teuer finde. Aber nur, weil ich einen anderen Sound brauche.
