EMG 35HZ

Purchased this pickup to use in a hand constructed fretless bass. All the parts come with the pickup for a relatively easy installation, although the inclusion of springs or similar to push the pickup upwards would be helpful for those not replacing a pickup.

In terms of sound quality, it is exactly what I was looking for. The sound is warm yet defined, but even on a fretless responds with some power when the gain goes up. Harmonics are nice and clear, and the whole sound is never muddy. Definitely recommended for those who want a slightly more modern fretless sound.

It went together easy enough and sounds great but the posts of the volume and tone pots aren't the normal split ones with splines so the original knobs of the Fleabass don't fit. I want to keep the original look so it looks like I'll have to hack the wires to fit the original pots or hack the posts to fir the knobs. Really lazy planning on their part.
