Not what I was hoping for

Very well built pickups. Very very easy to install.
I have a musicman guitar since 2004. I ve been trying to make it sound good since then. This is was the fifth time I changed the pickups. I have had two different sets of dimarzios, two different sets of Seymour Duncans and one set of Bare Knuckles. None of them worked for me.
I am not an active-pickups guy but I tried the emgs it as my (before) last resort.
They are probably the worst of the pups I have tried on my music man guitar. All my other guitars, sound way more interesting (one of them is a stock harley benton 550)
The sound is thin, compressed and I would best describe it as totally indifferent.
Clean sounds really suck. They can do metal but I don't do metal gigs (at least till now).
I am definitely selling those.
